There is only one rule here. Okay, two, but the first one is in the title of the contest: FIFTY WORDS OR LESS. Hey, we're being generous by giving you room for 300 characters in the entry form. That's 6 characters per word! I know my readers are very smart (and fabulous!) so I'm letting you all have lots of room to write in. But I'm still counting words!!
The other rule -- which you may recall me mentioning there were two -- is NO SPOILERS. You know and I know why you hate me. But not everybody knows exactly why some people have unleashed the vitriol upon me. So don't tell'em. Because the best grudges are the ones you earn yourself, not have second-hand.
Examples:"I hate Karin Slaughter because I was reading Triptych and I was so into it that I was late getting ready for my sister's wedding and now she won't talk to me and it's all Karin's fault."
"I hate Karin Slaughter because her book made me stay up too late at night and then I overslept and missed out on eating my free bowl of Cheerios while I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express so I feel like now I can't launch the moon rocket properly..."
