Eat'n'Read Contest

Send me a photo of any one (or more) of my books near a food offering that you'll actually eat. You'll be entered to win a complete set of signed hardbacks of the Grant County series signed by me.

Yup -- Blindsighted, Kisscut, A Faint Cold Fear, Indelible *and* Faithless!
You might even get a bonus gift of Like A Charm! (depends on whether I'd eat your food offering or not...) I'll even sign them in the order of publication if you want.
Just for taking a photo of food and a book.

The Fine Print:
  • By entering your photo, you give me permission to display it on my website. For other people to see, and maybe laugh at. With your name. Maybe with your city/state/country. And maybe even with snarky comments about your diet. Or say "ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! gross!!" Or even send to their friends in one of those annoying forward-forward-forward-forwarded messages that are a pain in the ass to open.
  • You must include a description of the food in your photo (I reserve the right to ask for recipes and/or samples). How else will I know if I'd be willing to eat it? Bonus points may be awarded for chocolate and/or doughnuts (mmmmmmm, doughnuts).
  • I reserve the right to reject photos if the food is just too healthy to be considered edible, if I don't like the color of your plates, or for any other reason that fits my whims.
  • All photos must have an e-mail timestamp or a postal date stamp before midnight Sept. 30, 2005. Atlanta time, smarty pants.
  • You can send digital photographs to yum@karinslaughter.com. They need to be no larger than 100K in size. If you need to mail a printed photograph (which can't be returned), send it to Food Contest, c/o CincinnatiMedia, PO Box 32188, Cincinnati OH 45217.
  • The contest winner will be announced on October 2, 2005, or as soon after that as I remember. No fair nagging.
  • There's probably other fine print I didn't think of, so just assume you're signing your life away, okay?
